Vintage Sterling and Turquoise Kachina Necklace Set

One of the most beautiful & unique pieces we’ve fund to date!  Handmade by Navajo Larry Moses Begay. It features a detailed Sunface kachina decorated with tons of genuine Kingman stones. It's traditionally accented with tiny twist wire and drops. The pendant is 4-3/4" long and 2" at the widest.  Four complementing Tawa heads adorn the rest of the necklace, and all are strung on 8mm sterling pearl strands. Including the clasp, it's 21" long, and the matching earrings are 1-3/8" wide. Stamped Sterling and hallmarked LMB. This an outstanding one of a kind necklace!!

Although there is not much info about Larry, he was born in Lukachukai, AZ and he learned from his father and brother-in-law. He is referenced in Hougart's "Native American and Southwestern Silver Hallmarks" and Schaaf's "American Indian Jewelry Vol II".
